Receiver Antonio Brown seems to not want to finish fighting with his new team, the Oakland Raiders. With the situation of the helmet, in which the receiver refused to use a new model that he has used throughout his career in the NFL since 2011, Oakland was upset with the player because he would have to be the one to pay for the disasters Brown caused. This, because it is the team directly that pays the fines in case a player violates the rules imposed by the NFL when using accessories that are prohibited by the league.

Before that, between Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and the player himself, they found a solution after the two appeals they had before the NFL so that the WR could use his helmet were arbitrarily rejected directly by the league. However, Brown was absent from the Raiders training on a couple of occasions (August 18 and 22), because between that he did not want to wear the helmet that was demanded and that he was in search of the one that best suited him, he did not Time to attend your team’s activities.

After Brown’s second absence, Oakland General Manager Mike Mayock stated that the player would have to commit 100% to avoid problems with the franchise. For his part, head coach Jon Gruden backed the WR at all times, supporting his decision to “fight for what he wants.”

Faced with Mayock’s first threat, the NFL Network former analyst took direct action with Brown’s absences. The player received a letter from the GM on Wednesday notifying him of a couple of fines that were imposed after being absent in a couple of workouts. For August 18, Mayock explained that his fine of $ 40,000 was because he was not present during the preseason and training camp preparations. By August 22, Brown will have to pay $ 13,950 for not showing up at the Raiders facilities because his absence was “unexcused.”

After all, the legal and contractual explanations that Mayock gave in the letter to be able to impose the fine on Antonio Brown, the player was immediately dissatisfied and posted this notification on Instagram. In addition to it, the WR included direct comments to the Raiders address. “When your team wants to throw hate but there is no way to stop me, the devil is a liar. Everyone will have to pay this year, let’s clarify that, ”Brown said.
