Tyreek Hill Will Not Be Suspended For 2019 Season
After an investigation that lasted for months, the NFL decided that Tyreek Hill will not be suspended. The Chiefs will have it back for the start of Training Camp. In an official statement, the league stated that Hill did not violate the Personal Code of Conduct and that Hill’s son is safe and not at risk.
On the day of the Draft, the audio was released between Tyreek Hill and his partner, Crystal Espinal, in which the Chiefs player who had hit his three-year-old son in the chest and who broke his arm is claimed. In that audio, you also hear a threat from Hill to his partner: You need to be terrified of me too, bitch (you should also be terrified of me, bitch).
As of that moment, Tyreek Hill was separated of all the activities of the Chiefs, nevertheless, once the NFL decided not to exert any action against the All-Pro receiver, Kansas City issued a statement in which it announced that it will be reincorporated to the equipment the next week when the NFL Training Camp begins.
It should be noted that this is not the first incident that Tyreek Hill has since he was selected in the Draft despite hitting his partner when she was pregnant. The NFL has punished other players without having an armed case, as with Ezekiel Elliott and Tom Brady.
Are the Chiefs the main contender in the AFC for this season?
Even with a potential Hill suspension, the Chiefs were considered one of the top favorites to represent the American Conference in the LIV Super Bowl. Without a penalty, Kansas City has its fully armed offense and one of the most explosive players in the league.
In just three seasons in the NFL (30 starts) Hill has 223 receptions, 3 255 yards and 34 combined TDs (between receptions, carries, and kickbacks). He is one of the most dangerous players in the league and a key player in the attack of Andy Reid, as well as the favorite receiver of the MVP of the previous season, Patrick Mahomes.
And in Fantasy Football?
Most of the experts thought that the Chiefs receiver would miss at least four games this season and that is why he was not among the best in his position. With the news that Tyreek Hill will not be suspended his ranking changes and should be between the fourth and seventh recipient selected in 2019, which puts him in a final rank of the first round (pick 11-12) and beginning of the second. You should not leave after pick 20.
It should be remembered that the NFL, although it has already closed the case, could have a subsequent action against Hill if other details about the presumed child maltreatment being investigated are disclosed.
