NBA Playoffs: Denver Nuggets vs Portland Trail Blazers Betting Prediction 5/12/19
- Portland Trail Blazers will be looking to book their tickets to the Western Conference Finals after defeating the Nuggets 119-108 in Game 6 to force a decisive decision of the series.
Damian Lillard exhausted six three-pointers to lead the team with 32 points and five assists, CJ McCollum was there with him and added 30 points on 12 of 24 shots, while Rodney Hood continued his tiebreak with 25 points on eight of 12 shots.
As a team, the Trailblazers shot 46 percent from the field and 15 of 33 from the 3-point line when they fell into a 10-point deficit before taking control of the game with a 32-17 run in the second quarter.
The Trailblazers would stay ahead for most of the game and rarely seemed to be in danger, and that was because they got the production of all the players who played extended minutes.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets will kick themselves after missing a crucial opportunity to seal the deal in Game 6. Nikola Jokic was again outstanding on the offensive side by accumulating 29 points with 12 rebounds and eight assists in 10 of 15 shooting, Jamal Murray added 24 points with 10 rebounds and five assists, Paul Millsap scored 17 points, while Gary Harris contributed 15 points and five assists.
As a team, the Nuggets shot only 38 percent from the field and 12 of the 32 from the 3-point line and the main culprits were Millsap, who shot only four of 15 from the field and Malik Beasley who shot zero to eight for the finish with only two points from the bench.
Denver Nuggets vs Portland Trail Blazers Betting Prediction
Regarding betting trends, the Trailblazers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven away games, 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games of the Conference Semifinals and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.
The Nuggets have 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games of the Conference Semifinals, 4-1 ATS in their last five games after a loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games on two days off.
Face to face, the final is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings in general, the Trailblazers have 3-9-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings in general and the Trailblazers are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in Denver.
The Trailblazers were to come out in Game 6 and they could hold on to victory after a dominant second quarter. Lillard and McCollum were fantastic for the Trailblazers and will need all their production and more if they want to beat the Nuggets who won 34-7 at home during the regular season.
Playing at home is a great advantage for the Nuggets and for their role players in particular, but in the bigger games, it depends on the best players to lead the way, that’s why I lean towards Lillard and the Trailblazers to achieve the minor annoying here.
