Free Soccer Picks

It is true that soccer is such a popular sport that few people can be objective. According to our soccer picks experts most people who like soccer like a team in particular.

And the colors pull a lot. So much that they can freezer our ability to analyze a meeting. That is why we advise not to bet on matches where our team plays.

If the bet you are going to make is not based on an objective analysis of the situation, better do not do it. You can hit once, but in the long run, it’s very unhelpful.

Best soccer competitions to place wagers

As is logical, if football/soccer is the most popular sport in the world, its competitions are also the most followed, the most watched on television and also where more money is bet.

  • Soccer World Cup

  • The Champions League

  • National Leagues

  • Euro Cup of Nations
  •
America Cup

  • Olympic Games

1. Soccer World Cup

The most followed sports competition on the planet. In fact, the final of this championship is the most watched televised event in history, surpassing the second, the final of the previous World Cup.

It is played for one month every four years, usually between June and July, that is, in the summer of the northern hemisphere (this will have an exception in 2022 when it is played in December in Qatar).

It brings together the 32 best teams in the world, although FIFA plans to increase the number of participating countries in order to make it even more global than it is.

2. Champions League

The old European Cup. The most prestigious club tournament in the world. It is played by the best teams from the best European leagues.

Its final phase is played by 32 teams and has two phases, a group phase (8 groups of 4 teams each, where 2 are classified for the next round) and a qualifying round with four rounds (round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and final).

All the eliminatory, except the final, are two-way. The final has a venue chosen almost two years before it is played. In 2019 the final is in and in 2019 in Madrid.

3. National leagues

In all the countries of the world or practically all, there is a national league where the best teams of each country play.

There are many types of the league, but the most common is the one that faces all the teams against each other twice a season both at home and away and where there are 3 points for a victory and 1 for a draw.

Whoever has the most points at the end of the league wins it. These leagues usually give the classification for continental tournaments. The most important are the Premier League (England), LaLiga (Spain), La Bundesliga (Germany), Serie A (Italy), Ligue 1 (France), the Argentine League and the Brazilian League.

4. Eurocopa de Naciones

Tournament of selections that is played every four years and in which the 24 best countries of Europe participate. So far it has always had an organizing country, but the next Euro, the year 2020, will be held in different cities in Europe, being the final in the Wembley state of London.

5. Copa América

The oldest tournament in the world. It is celebrated since 1916 and they play it:

The 10 selections that make up the CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation)
6 invited teams from other confederations, which are usually the best in CONCACAF (Associated Football Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean)
Until 2007 it was played every two years, and from that date, every four is played in a venue that rotates among the participating countries.

6. Olympic Games

Soccer is an Olympic sport, but due to the overload of tournaments that exist, the Olympic tournament is not played by the absolute selections, but by the U23 selections.

These can only register 2 players older than 23 years in the participation list. It is played, obviously, during the Olympic Games, that is, every four years.
