Washington Nationals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Prediction 10/7/2019
After dismantling the Washington Nationals 10-4 in Game 3, with one more win, the Los Angeles Dodgers can seal their place in the National League Championship Series. The Nationals, on the other hand, will need to win if they want to stay alive in this postseason and will come out with their best pitcher looking to equal the series to two games.
Max Scherzer, Nationals Star Pitcher
The Nationals will put all their hopes in their star pitcher Max Scherzer. Throughout the regular season, Scherzer virtually dominated most of his rivals and as a result will most likely be considered for the National League Cy Young award, awarded annually to the best pitcher in each league.
For Game 4, Scherzer arrives with enough rest after having participated in the Wild Card Game against the Milwaukee Brewers, although three days later Scherzer threw an inning against the Dodgers in Game 2. On paper, Scherzer could have started Game 3, but manager Davey Martinez opted to go with Anibal Sanchez as the opener. Now Scherzer will have the opportunity to face the best offensive in the National League with an extra day of rest.
Dodgers will Bet On Experience
On the Dodgers’ side, manager Dave Roberts will send the experienced Rich Hill to the Lomita. The 39-year-old left-handed only participated in three games during the regular season but finished with a 2.45 ERA. Thanks to his age, Hill is not known as a very durable pitcher, averaging only 4.5 innings per game. No matter what, this average doesn’t look like it’s going to change much, and it looks like it’s going to be a night to see the Dodgers’ bullpen.
It’s worth mentioning that the Washington Nationals were more successful against left-handed pitchers like Rich Hill than right-handed pitchers. However, the reason we lean a little more toward the Washington Nationals is pitcher Max Scherzer.
